The Megadrive, known as the Sega Genesis in North America, is a 16-bit console made by Sega. The Megadrive is the successor of the Master System and the third home video game console of Sega.
Sega released the Megadrive in 1988 in Japan. The Mega CD and the Super 32X has been released to upgrade the Megadrive with a new support game.
